(HATTIESBURG, Miss.) – On Monday-Tuesday, the No. 20 Truett McConnell University men’s golf team traveled to compete in the Carey Collegiate, hosted by William Carey University, where the Bears finished tied for seventh out of 16 teams with a team score of 902. TMU was featured besting No. 14 Southwestern Christian University (909), RV Morningside University (953) and No. 24 William Carey University (974).

Caden Sanders led the way for the Bears tied in 19th after shooting a 78 in round one, 73 in round two and 73 in round three. Michael Osborne followed up shooting a 74, 78 and 74, while Peyton Shedd shot a 75, 77 and 76. Jackson Stone recorded a 76, 75 and 80, followed by Vic Mincey who rounded out TMU’s results with a 79, 80 and cut off seven strokes in round three for a 73.

Up next, the Bears head to Okatie, S.C. where they are set to compete in the Monument Golf Oldfield Invitational on Monday, March 27-Tuesday, March 28.
