(CLEVELAND)- The Truett McConnell University men’s soccer team hosted Appalachian Athletic Conference competitor Kentucky Christian University, where the Bears had astounding offense (9-1). TMU rises to a record of 6-2-2, 3-2-1 AAC, while the Knights fall to 1-4-2, 1-4-1 AAC.

PLAY BY PLAY

In the first period, Oscar Brennan scored the Bears first goal of the day, assisted by Nour Alamri, in the first minute of play (1-0). The momentum carried and Max Farris, assisted by Brennan, scored the second goal in the 16th minute. In the 27th minute, Will Fraser-Gray, assisted by Jose Ventura, scored the third goal (3-0). The Knights were able to score a single goal on the day in the 41st minute (3-1). The Bears scored two goals in the final minute of play, Justin Hicks and Alamri, to send TMU into the half ahead 5-1.

In the second period, the intensity carried and Ventura, assisted by Farris, recorded the sixth goal in the 56th minute (6-1). In the 80th minute, Farris, assisted by Seth Martinez scored goal number seven on the day (7-1). Martinez turned around and collected a goal of his own, bringing the score to 8-1. In the 87th minute, the Bears scored their last goal of the afternoon, leaving TMU to dominate the Knights, 9-1.

LEADERS

Farris led the way with 10 shots, four on goal, and two goals. Following, Fraser-Gray recorded six shots, four on goal, and one goal. Ventura also had six shots, two on goal, and one goal.
