Timothy Allen Higgins age 64 of Cornelia, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 23, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Demorest, Georgia on August 06, 1955, he was a son of Elizabeth Garner Higgins of Toccoa, Georgia & the late James Billy Higgins. Tim was a self-employed auto mechanic for many years. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan, car enthusiast, & musician. Most of all, Tim enjoyed spending precious time with his family. He was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Marlon Higgins & sister, Janet Higgins.
Survivors include loving companion of over 30 years, Penny Harkins Higgins of Cornelia, GA; sons, Timothy “Larry” & Rachel Higgins of Nashville, TN; Joe & Cari Higgins of Demorest, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Shay & Kobey Dean of Clarkesville, GA; mother, Elizabeth Garner Higgins of Toccoa, GA; Sisters, Jane Thompson of Toccoa, GA; Jackie Mangum of Cornelia, GA; 9 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.
In consideration of public health & safety, a private family graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Hillside Gardens Cemetery in Clarkesville, Georgia with Rev. David Stancil & Pastor Mike Franklin officiating.
