Sports – It was Thursday Night Lights yesterday as most of the area teams changed their games up one day to avoid complications from Hurricane Ian, but no move was far enough for the Warriors to escape the shutout from the Dawson County Tigers.

The first quarter remained scoreless for both teams, and with the second quarter well on the way without a score as well, it would be the Tigers who would finally put points on the board with only 6 seconds left to play in the quarter. The Warriors would enter the locker room at halftime down by 7 points.

Following an extended halftime for the Warriors to celebrate their Homecoming activities, the second half of the game belonged completely to Dawson County. The Tigers would complete 3 more touchdowns and a field goal before the final buzzer would sound. The final score would be the Dawson County Tigers 31, White County 0.

The Captain D’s players of the game last night were Jacob Holbrook and John Scott. The Warriors are back in action on their regular Friday game next week to host Wesleyan, and you can hear all the action on WRWH 93.9fm.
