(GAINESVILLE) – C Although TMU took second with 37 points, the Bears had two in the top four and four in the top 10.
 
Freshmen Riley Thornton and Marco Flores made their debut as Bears with impressive top five finishes. Thornton finished runner-up with a time of 29:39.8, but most notable, Thornton led the way throughout the majority of the 5K. Flores placed fourth with a time of 30:04.4.
 
Juniors Seth Ledford and Owen Nobles raced neck and neck to clinch two more spots in the top 10 for TMU. Ledford placed ninth with a time of 31:12.4, while Nobles finished 10th with a time of 31:15.5, respectively.
 
Sophomore Max Calderon and senior Jose Santana also finished back to back. Calderon took 14th (32:50.0) and Santana took 15th (32:51.8) to round out TMU’s results on the day.
 
Up next, the Bears hit the road for the Seminole Valley Stampede in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Oct. 10.
