(MARIETTA, Ga.) – The Truett McConnell University Wrestling team traveled to compete in the Life Open, hosted by No. 2 Life University.
Most notable, junior Mitchell Thompson captured a fourth place finish overall in the 165 weight class, featuring a major decision win over Montreat (10-2), a decision win over University of Central Florida (10-3) and a decision win over UNC Pembroke (7-5).
Senior Leonel Silvestre had an impressive outing at 149, where he was featured earning a technical fall over University of Central Florida (21-5), a decision win over University of Florida (15-11) and a pin (2:27) over Keiser University.
