Mr. Talmadge “T.J.” Marion Powell, age 56, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019.
T.J. was born in Alabama on December 25, 1962. He is preceded in death by his father John Chandler and brother Johnny Chandler. He was a self-employed carpenter. T.J. enjoyed watching football and loved watching his son play basketball and baseball.
Survivors include his dearly beloved Carolyn Payne, Dawsonville; son Johnathon Powell, Dawsonville; daughter and son-in-law Kayla and Brandon Barbella, Cumming; mother and stepfather Shirley and Terry Parsons, Acworth; sister and brother-in-law Angie and Ron Burchert, Fayetteville; and sister Sheree Chandler, Woodstock.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, December 6, 2019, at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Evangelist Melvin Reeves will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
