Suzanne Michelle Farris (Susie) passed away on August 4, 2020. Susie was a devoted mother, wife, and new grandmother. She cherished her four children and 2 bonus children as well as her new grandson and fur baby Thor. She was known for meeting a stranger, and walking away their friend. She was an active member the community and made it her passion to volunteer and give her time and efforts to causes and people she held dear to her. Susie was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church where she served as an alter guild. Susie was an active volunteer for the Republican party where she campaigned for many elected officials. Susie also served on many boards in the Lumpkin County Community including NOA, CASA, and Meals on Wheels.
Susie is preceded by her father Stephen DeKrone.
Susie is survived by her husband Derrick Farris, sons Tony Miller (Anna), Justin Miller (Charlotte), Jack Henry Robertson (girlfriend McKayla) daughter Gabby Miller (fiancé Jared) and two bonus sons Jeremy Farris and Matthew Farris.
Family will receive friends on Thursday August 6, 2020 from 3-5pm and from 6-8 pm at Dahlonega Funeral Home.
