DAHLONEGA – University of North Georgia women’s basketball player Julianne Sutton was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team Thursday afternoon, the association announced.

A senior out of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Sutton graduated with an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology with a 3.46 and now sports a perfect 4.00 in her graduate work, also in Kinesiology.

On the court, Sutton was named an All-Conference first-teamer as well as to the WBCA All-American Team as an honorable mention for the second consecutive year.

This is Sutton’s second Academic All-District honor, being named to the team a year ago as well. She will now be up for Academic All-American status with voting to take place starting next week by dues-paying members of CoSIDA.
