(Cleveland)- Thursday night at the Soda Fountain Café, on the square in Cleveland, during the weekly Warrior Rally show on WRWH, Drew Harris and Brent Maddox had the opportunity to talk with White County High School Sports standout Spencer Adams, who was selected by the Chicago White Sox in the MBL Draft.
Spencer has been spending the last few months at rookie training camp in Arizona and he shared with the broadcast team that Arizona is definitely not Northeast Georgia. Drew Harris asked , what’s next for him, Adams said, “ we have instructional league, which is back in Arizona, I leave September 14th out there and that will last for about 3 ½ weeks. The first week we are out there we’re working out and practicing and trying to get back in shape after our off weeks. And then the next two and half weeks will be games we play teams that are close to us, we’ll play the Dodgers a lot, because we share the facility with them and then after that I’ll come back home from middle of October till March, which is Spring Training “
After spring training next year Spencer said he hopes to move a little close to home for additional training. “come April after Spring Training my goal is to start out in low A, which is Kannapolis, North Carolina and that is only four hours from here, so maybe I’ll get to see some familiar faces come out and watch.”
Adams has been spending time the last couple of weeks relaxing and visiting with family and friends here before he has to head back west.
