(Cleveland) – Freezing temperatures are expected across far northeast Georgia Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Special Weather Statement for far northeast Georgia, in effect from 1am until 9am Saturday morning.

Counties included with possible freezing temperatures are Fannin, Gilmer, Union, Towns, Pickens, Dawson,  Lumpkin and White counties.

Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 20s to low 30s and actions should be taken to protect sensitive new spring vegetation, and animals should be sheltered.
