(Atlanta)- Residents across Northeast Georgia will notice a little more smoke in the air due to a more northerly wind flow. The National Weather Service advises  the areas of smoke is emanating from the North Georgia and North Carolina fires that will drift south.

The smoke may cause minor reduction to visibility and continued smoky conditions are expected through tonight.

Winds will increase once again Thursday…and the smoke will impact the area again. Those with health issues are advised to stay indoors.
