(Cleveland)-Unsettled weather could bring the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms to much of north and central Georgia Tuesday and Tuesday night.

Forecasters say the best timing for severe thunderstorm development should be Tuesday afternoon into the early evening hours. The primary hazards will be damaging wind gusts and large hail. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Strong thunderstorms could develop at any time and have the potential to produce gusty winds and small hail. Locally heavy rainfall and frequent lightning strikes will also be possible.

Wednesday into Thursday the severe thunderstorms will continue with the possibility of damaging wind gusts, large hail, and a few tornadoes. Localized flash flooding will also be possible.
