(Cleveland)- This is the second week of early voting for the Jan. 5th Senate runoff election across the state. The time for you to cast a ballot, if you haven’t already voted, is cut short this week because of the Christmas holiday.

White County election officials say the voting during the first week of advance voting was steady, with around 500 people voting each day. In White County, the advance voting location is in the Mauney Building on the Helen Highway.

In Hall County officials say about 10 percent of the registered voters cast ballots last week.

The Georgia Secretary of State’s office reports a statewide turnout of 1.1 million voters during the first week of early voting, which is on par with the early vote turnout for the General Election in November.
