(GAINESVILLE) – Not sure if the two situations are related but power was our for about an hour for much of downtown Cleveland this morning, at the same time Thousands of Jackson EMC customers in the northern part of Hall County found themselves without power.
The explanation for Jackson outage was crews were replacing a transmission line in the area.
White County 9-1-1 dispatch advised that the power company was switching out something on the grid and it knocked out the power.
No word from Georgia Power on the cause of the outage in Cleveland and White County.
