DAHLONEGA – The Peach Belt Conference has released the brackets for next week’s PBC Soccer Championships, and both University of North Georgia soccer teams are in the tournament. The women, ranked No. 18 in the nation, claimed the No. 2 seed and will host a quarterfinal match on Tuesday, while the men earned the No. 5 seed and will travel for their quarterfinal game.

North Georgia’s women finished at least second in the league standings for the fifth time in the last six years. The 2017 regular season co-champions, the Nighthawks finished their regular season last Wednesday with a 3-0 win over Emmanuel and are 9-1-1 in conference play. UNG will host No. 7 Young Harris on Tuesday. YHC advances to tournament play for the fourth straight year and reached the semifinals last season.

North Georgia’s men earned a spot in their ninth straight conference tournament and will travel to No. 4 Francis Marion Tuesday. The Patriots are 12-3-1 overall on the season and have been ranked as high as No. 7 in the nation this season. UNG finished in a tie with Flagler at nine points in the PBC standings but won the tiebreak thanks to a head-to-head win back on October 5.
