S O  Patch(HELEN) – White County authorities say the tractor trailer that wrecked in the northern part of the county  Monday afternoon, was hauling scrap metal. The single vehicle accident involved the tractor trailer overturning causing a six hour closure of Highway 75 north of Helen. 

White County Chief Deputy Bob Ingram said, Tuesday  that the accident, which was reported around 3:30 PM,  occurred in a sharp curve  one mile north of Andrews Cove.  Ingram said, the driver was negotiating a curve when he lost control. 

The highway was shut down for over six hours while authorities investigated the accident and crews cleared up the spilled scrap metal and up righting  the truck and trailer.

 White County 9-1-1 dispatch advised that the road was  reopened around 10 PM.
