Mrs. Shelby Peck Marshall, age 82, of Dahlonega, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022.
Mrs. Marshall was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. She was born on April 25, 1940, to the late Parks and Mattie Belle Peck. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, of sixty-one years, Walter Marshall.
Mrs. Marshall started her banking career in 1956 at the Bank of Dahlonega, where she retired in 1995. After a brief vacation, she ventured out into the manufactured home sales. She stayed there helping people get homes until she retired in 2015. Mrs. Marshall loved reading, going places, shopping and spending time with her family. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Paige and Jeff Wehunt; son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Jennifer Marshall, all of Dahlonega; son Tim Marshall of South Carolina; grandchildren Kayla Eurek (Landon), Kendall Wehunt (Breanna Grace), Wil Marshall, Charlie Waters, Seth Waters; and great-granddaughter Aly Eurek.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, August 18, 2022, in Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the funeral home.
