Mrs. Amelia Howard, age 96, of Murrayville, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6, 2024. Born on June 16, 1928, Mrs. Howard lived a long and fulfilling life filled with adventure, family, and love. She had a passion for travel and she was able to fulfill a dream by traveling the world. She enjoyed spending time fishing, and treasured the outdoors. Above all, her greatest joy came from her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Walter James Howard; her parents, Guadalupe Moreno and Cipriano Acosta; her stepfather, Stephen Boschel; and her sisters, Lupe Acosta, Carmen Franklin, Sara Acosta, and Louie Acosta.
Mrs. Howard is survived by her daughter, Donnas Brown (Clarence) of Murrayville, Georgia; her sons, Mitchel Howard (Judy) of Salem, Oregon, and Welsley Howard (Donna) of Lake Havasu, Arizona; as well as eight grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Anderson Underwood Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Riverside National Cemetery in California.
