Mr. Lewis Clark Moore, 59, of Dahlonega, GA passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Monday, June 14 following an extended battle with multiple strokes.

Lewis was born in Houston, Texas on September 22, 1961 to the late Goodman Hughes Moore, Jr. and Mary Jane Tolbert Moore of Dahlonega, GA.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother Goodman Hughes “Butch” Moore, III.

Lewis enjoyed repairing cars and appliances, gold panning and had a great passion for building and flying model airplanes.  He also served our country as an airplane mechanic in U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Holland Moore, Dahlonega; son Andrew (Cindy) Moore, Dahlonega; daughter Rachel (Shane) Moore Stephens, Dahlonega; sister Cathy Moore Quillen (Matt), Roswell, GA; sister Elizabeth Geraldine Moore, Hartwell, GA; brother William Bryan Worthington, Dahlonega, brother Van Moore; sister Priscilla Hennessey; grandchildren Ravan Moore, Malachi Stephens, Elijah Stephens, Jeremiah Stephens; and nieces Amanda Avery, MaryBeth Worthington, and Isabella Worthington; nephews Matthew Quillen, David Quillen, Tyler Worthington and Ryan Oldham, and other relatives.

Arrangements by the professional staff of the Dahlonega Funeral Home, 20 Gibson Road, Dahlonega.

In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations at the Dahlonega Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
