James Dewitt DuBois, age 88, of Cleveland entered his heavenly home on Sunday, June 6, 2021.

Mr. DuBois was born on February 10, 1933, in Savannah, Georgia, to the late Benjamin and Gertrude Bryant DuBois.  He had an engineering background and was a home builder, but his greatest pride was his family.  He was a hardworking man, loving and dedicated husband, father, son, and friend to anyone who knew him.  His unconditional love for his family and friends is a testament to a true bond that will never be broken, neither in life nor death.  James was a proud member of Mt. View Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Marie Owenby; son, Timothy Paul DuBois; and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife of nine years, Martha Goss DuBois; son, Steve DuBois; son-in-law, Johnny Owenby; grandchildren, Lisa and Boyd Domm, Kelly and Zack Kerr, and Travis, Bryan, and James Owenby; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Lillian, and Jaeson Kerr; brother and sister-in-law, Fred DuBois and Janet Crouse.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home.  The Rev. Kevin Woody will officiate.  Interment will follow at a later date in Greenwich Cemetery, Savannah, Georgia.

The DuBois Family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at the funeral home, prior to the funeral service.
