Lindia Faye Kimbrel Blalock, age 81, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023.
Mrs. Blalock was born on August 6, 1941 in Moultrie, Georgia to the late James Otis Kimbrel and Syble Irene Carnes Kimbrel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, William H. “Bill” Blalock. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Lindia Faye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had retired from Habersham County for over 20 years, and had helped with the establishment of Habersham Transit.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Danny Jimenez, of San Antonio, TX; son, William Rodney Blalock, of Cornelia; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; sister, Sue Brewer, of Cornelia; and brother, Waymon Kimbrel, of Cornelia.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 15, 2023 at the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Robert Nix and Rev. Austin Kelley officiating. All family and friends should gather at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m., directly before the service.
