Mrs. Linda Butler, age 70, of Dahlonega passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020.

Mrs. Butler was born in Chatsworth on March 2, 1950 to the late Loyd Hoyt and Ella Berry Garrett. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Doyle Luther Butler. Linda was a loving wife and mother. She was a member of the Cane Creek Goodwill Circle. Linda spent many days working as a store clerk at her mother-in-law’s store, Wahsega Grocery. Along with her husband, she loved visiting friends and neighbors, listening to Bluegrass music, and cooking for her family. Linda was deeply loved by her family and her grandchildren affectionately called her “Nana”. For the last several years she faithfully attended Yahoola Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter Amy Hubbard of Dahlonega, GA; son and daughter-in-law Rev. Kris and Deana Butler of Dahlonega; grandchildren Chelsey Hubbard, Abby Butler, and Gus Hubbard, all of Dahlonega; sister and brother-in-law Shirley and L.C. Truelove; brothers and sisters-in-law Kenneth and Autumn Garrett, Doug and Pat Garrett, and Donald and Tammie Garrett, all of Dahlonega; son-in-law Casey Hubbard, Dahlonega; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Graveside Services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Lyman Caldwell and the Rev. Terry Head will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the funeral home.
