(WALESKA) – The Truett McConnell University women’s volleyball team traveled to face Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Reinhardt University to complete their 2022 regular season competition (17-25, 17-25, 16-25). TMU finishes with a record of 18-17, 11-9 AAC, while the Eagles finish 18-12, 16-4 AAC. 

PLAY-BY-PLAY

In the first set, the Eagles were first on the board, but a kill from Leah Bowen kept TMU in the set. As the Eagles push ahead, a kill from Katie Williams followed by a service ace from Rachel Kessler closed the gap. A four-point rally from the Eagles continued to add to their lead, while a late four-point rally from TMU closed the margin. A kill from Ranavia Neal was a last hope, leaving TMU to fall 17-25. In the second set, the Lady Bears were first on the board with a kill from Williams followed by a kill from Bowen and Neal to create an early lead. An eight-point rally from the Eagles propelled them forward, where a kill from Neal and Silecky kept TMU within margin. A late three-point rally determined TMU’s fate, leaving them behind 17-25.

In the final set, the Lady Bears were first on the board where a kill from Silecky followed by a four-point rally resulted in an early lead. With both teams evenly matched, a three-point rally from the Eagles gave them the lead. A kill from Jordan Roberts and Williams kept TMU within margin. A late four-point rally from the Eagles determined the Lady Bears fate (16-25).

LEADERS

Williams led the way with seven kills, followed by Neal and Silecky with five kills apiece. Deomi Valmus recorded 14 digs on the evening, followed by Brooklynn Brock with 11 and Silecky with 10 of her own. Brock individually recorded 22 assists.
