(CLEVELAND) – The preliminary brackets for the 2023 NAIA Men’s Wrestling National Championships have been released by the National Office, and your Truett McConnell University wresting team has one athlete who will be featured competing for a national title. The action for all 10 weight classes gets underway inside the Hartman Arena in Wichita, Kansas on Friday, March 3-Saturday, March 4. 
 
Graduate student Ian James, a fifth-year key leader for the Bears, will be representing TMU in the 165-weight class. James punched his individual ticket to nationals by placing fourth overall at the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament, after besting No. 21 Adam El Damir from Keiser University. James is entering the national tournament with an overall individual season record of 19-19, respectfully.
