(GaHSNEGAinesville)- The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia has announced they  will be hosting another  spay/neuter transport from White County.  October 29th, is the date that the humane society will   be transporting pets to its Spay/Neuter Center for surgery as scheduled by owners.

Northeast Georgia residents who would like to participate in the transport can schedule an appointment by calling White County Animal Control & Shelter at 706-219-2689.  Surgery costs are  $40-55 depending on the gender and type of animal.  Pets must be at least 8 weeks old in order to have surgery. Due to space limitations, the transport will be limited to the first 20 pet owners who schedule an appointment. Other restrictions also may apply.

Animals having surgery will be picked up at 8:00 a.m. on the day of the transport (Wednesday), will board overnight at the Humane Society, and will be transported back for drop-off at 8:00 a.m on Thursday, October 30. Pick-up and drop-off for the transport will be at White County Animal Control & Shelter, which is located at 680 Industrial Blvd.

Pet owners also can request additional services for their pets at the time of surgery including vaccinations, nail trims, heartworm testing, feline combo testing, and microchipping. These low-cost services are offered for additional fees. HSNEGA’s Spay/Neuter Center is funded in part by surgery fees, but also is subsidized by corporate grants and donations.
