(Cleveland)- Now that school has ended for this year, students and staff are hoping for a much more normal school year starting this fall.  During Thursday night’s Board of Education meeting the board approved two overnight school-sponsored trips for students, that’s something that they haven’t done in quite some time because of the COVID situation. Superintendent Dr. Laure Burkett said, “ it’s nice to get back to normal with camps, I think that’s important.”

Burkett also talked about this week’s COVID-19 stats that were released on Wednesday.  She said there was no staff who tested positive and no staff place in quarantine.  One student did test positive and 7 students placed in quarantine.

Burkett then told the board, “ and that will be our last COVID report, hopefully forever.”  That was met with a round of applause.
