The Georgia Department of Transportation says Hope Drive in Cleveland will be closed for about 15 days, beginning today (07/28), as the grade of the road is raised by 12 feet. The contractor is required to complete the work and reopen the road by August 11th.
Harold Mull, GDOT District Construction Engineer, said, “With such a significant grade change, traffic cannot continue to use the roadway as the work occurs. The detour route to access Hope Drive directs traffic further south on SR 11 / US 129 to Warehouse Drive, then to the back side of Hope Drive, allowing access to the businesses and residences on Hope.”
