Gladys Wheeler, age 91 of Dalton formerly of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020.
Mrs. Wheeler was born March 20, 1929 in Blue Ridge, GA to the late Elmer and Alice Totherow Davis. Gladys was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husbands, Harley Medlin and Doyle Wheeler; son, Gary Medlin; grandson, Eric Pilgrim; great grandson, Ethan Gerrells; siblings, Trula Cantrell, Gaynell Hulsey, Floy Davis, Henry Davis, Wayne Davis, Dewayne Davis and Roy Davis.
Survivors include her children and spouses, Christine and Doug Gerrells; Debbie and Terry Pilgrim; Mike and Nancy Wheeler; sister, Faye Payne; grandchildren, Kim Medlin Estes, Trent Medlin, Kenitha Collins, Chad Gerrells, Renee Smith, Laurie Beavers, Matthew Pilgrim, Shawn Wheeler and Micah Wheeler; 16 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Van Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Yonah View Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM -1:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
