( Cleveland)- A Gillsville man faces numerous charges after he led law enforcement officers on a chase Monday night that covered three counties. White County Chief Deputy Bob Ingram said, 41-year old Richard Massey was spotted by a White County deputy driving with an altered license plate.
Ingram said Massey, who was driving a Honda Accord, was pursued from White County into Hall and later Habersham County, where he was finally stopped. The suspect, according to Ingram ran into the woods, but was captured a short time later.
Ingram said the suspect resisted arrest and had to pepper sprayed to enable officers to take him into custody.
Massy, faces a long list of charges including; driving on a suspended license, no insurance, altered license plate, fleeing and possession of methamphetamine. He is being held in the White County Detention Center.
