(Gainesville)- Former Ninth District Congressman Doug Collins of Gainesville has added something new to his resume – he’s now a published author. His book The Clock and Calendar: A Front-Row Look at the Democrats’ Obsession with Donald Trump was released Tuesday.
It provides an in-depth look at the impeachment hearings against former President Trump. At the time, Collins was one of the top-ranking Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives. He said he has special insight on the proceedings that others don’t.’
Collins told Mitch Clarke with WDUN radio in Gainesville “I wanted people to understand what I saw first-hand.” “There are discussions [in the book] of my conversations with Jerry Nadler [House Judiciary Committee Chairman]…that gives a reader something that they’re not going to get in other books,”
Collins said. Collins contends the impeachment hearings were part of a vendetta against Trump for derailing the Democrats’ plan to elevate Hillary Clinton to the White House in 2016.
Time and events move on. The impeachment failed in a partisan vote in the Senate. Now you have the LESSER OF EVILS in office and wild-haired rampage. In politics, evil is cumulative.
