Eleanor Trommer, age 86, went to join her heavenly family on June 16, 2022. She died peacefully at her new home in Macon, GA. Her recent heart attack, combined with COPD and dementia was more than her body could endure.

Eleanor entered the world on October 21, 1935 at the home of her parents Paul and Anna Kuhl. It was a blood transfusion from her Dad that assured her survival at birth. She had two older brothers Herbert and Walter, whom she adored.  Helping in her parents’ deli and candy stores during her youth instilled in her the importance of hard work, discipline and friendly conversation. She graduated from Mineola high school and was a secretary before marrying Herbert Trommer on October 29, 1955.

Eleanor brought 6 children into this world. She always loved to share that she had 5 sons and one daughter, her eldest. She always worked hard to provide a loving home for family, many times taking on part-time jobs including selling Tupperware and Dried flower arrangements at house parties. You would have known she hated public speaking. She was also one of the longest-serving den mothers while her sons were in cub scouting. After her divorce, she would have her own cleaning business and be employed as an executive assistant to the owners of multiple businesses. She enjoyed travel to Germany, cruises, and camping with her family. . She loved her home in Bayport, NY where she lived with her family for 36 years. She moved to Chesterfield,VA in 1997 to manage her daughter’s business and as Administrator for Richmond Financial Planning Association. After retiring in 2007 she would move with her daughter’s family to Statesville, NC and then to Lilburn, GA. Her greatest joy was being the Mother to a large family. She always loved when the family would all be together.

Eleanor is predeceased by her parents and brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Mark) Steinhaus of Macon, GA, and her sons, Herbert (Karen) Trommer of Lake Ariel, PA, Christopher (Gina) Trommer of Chesterfield, VA, Richard (Laurie) Trommer of Lilburn, GA, Eric Trommer of Loganville, GA and James Trommer of Lawrenceville, GA.
