Mrs. Dolores “Dee” Ramsey, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 31, 2020.

Mrs. Ramsey was born in Meigs, GA on March 8, 1930. She is preceded in death by her husband Ronald J. Ramsey, mother Gladys Cooper Turner, father Jesse Waters Turner, and brothers Billy and James Turner. She lived in Thomasville, GA for many years raising a family and loved the time she spent working in retail at Neel’s and Belk’s. She was a long-time member of Northside Baptist Church and then Pineland Baptist Church before moving to Dahlonega, GA. Although she was unable to attend worship services towards the end, Dolores loved the spiritual support of Cavenders Creek Baptist Church in Dahlonega. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her sister Helen Moore of Thomasville, GA; sons and daughters-in-law Ron and Sandra Ramsey of Opelika, AL, and Michael and Rebecca Ramsey of Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren, Shawn Ramsey, Joseph Ramsey, Rhonda Denison, and Jennifer Wiggley; and great-grandchildren, Breckyn Ramsey, Caleb Norrell, Tate Wiggley, and Shelby, Amelia, Nonie, and Ty Denison.

A private family service will be held at Cavenders Creek Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Rev. Stephen Adams.
