David Kenneth Fowler, age 67 of Demorest, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 31, 2020.
Born in Habersham County, Georgia on August 31, 1953, he was a son of the late Moses David & Dorothy Helen Jones Fowler. David was in the first graduating class of Habersham Central High School in 1971. He was employed as a truck driver with Pratt Industries for over 26 years. David was a true gentleman, always willing to help someone in need. In his spare time, he enjoyed good coffee, golfing, gun collecting, and shopping, especially at 129 Salvage. Most of all, David enjoyed spending precious time with his family, especially with his children & grandsons.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his little sister, Debbie Carol Fowler; sister & brother-in-law, Velma Jean & Leroy Gragg.
Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, Jared & Kelly Fowler of Benton, LA; son & girlfriend, Jordan Fowler & Danae Smith of Mt. Airy, GA; brothers & sisters-in-law, Donald Fowler of Buford, GA; Douglas & Rhonda Fowler; Tommy & Anna Fowler, all of Demorest, GA; sisters & brothers-in-law, Cheryl & Fred Pitts; Margaret & David Leford all of Demorest, GA; grandchildren, John Fowler, Kayden Fowler, & Jase Fowler all of Benton, LA; several nieces, nephews, 1 great-niece, 1 great-nephew; 3 honorary grandchildren; & his grand dog, Bo.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 04, 2020 at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Chad Parker & Rev. Ray Turpin officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
All visitors are requested to observe guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control for social distancing.
