(Cleveland)- The latest figures from the Georgia Department of Public Health Tuesday show the total number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus in White County is 308. That is an increase of 76 cases in the past two weeks.
The information also shows that 53 hospitalizations were required and five deaths are related to the virus.
Other surrounding counties: Hall County has 5,657 confirmed cases with 86 deaths, Habersham County 1,057 cases and 48 deaths, Lumpkin County just moved ahead of White County with 309 confirmed cases with 6 deaths, Union County 235 cases and 6 deaths and Towns County 120 cases with one death related to the virus.
When it comes out how many cases have been falsified since the start of this pandemic, I pray those people are going to prison. From the top management to the data entry personnel.
308 positives = 49.28 per month/1.65 per day.. Hospitalizations= 8.48 per month/.28 per day
What about cases recovered? Without including that information, it’s fear mongering & wrong. Active cases have stayed around the 100 mark since the beginning of the pandamic in White county. The only sense in reporting new cases is so we can calculate the portion of the population that have been infected to imply antibodies & some immunity, not soaring numbers to illicit fear but it is never reported in the tone of the latter. Shame.
(This is meant to address the comments above) As a public health student at Emory University, this data is how all epidemiological statistics are presented with all outbreaks throughout the world. Regardless of whether or not the people labeled as positive have recovered, the data is meant to show how fast it is spreading for the *admin and scientists* of the county’s local goverment and is meant to calculate a “R-naut” or R0 which determines how many people an infected person can spread the virus to. These reports are not meant to be “open to interpretation” by the general public like a contemporary art show. So, please stop acting like you have a degree in public health because you don’t. You don’t work for the CDC, or the WHO. You are not nationally acclaimed by the NIH. So stop acting like you are. This is not a political topic open to debate. It is one of the worst public health crisises we have ever seen. And the only thing you are spreading is lack of faith, which is far worse than fear.
