Cleveland)- There is still a lot of work to be done before the White County Board of Commissioners present a fire service agreement to the city of Helen. The county commission board took a first look at a draft agreement at Monday’s commission meeting in Cleveland.
The draft would have the city of Helen provide funding to upgrade some of the fire fighting equipment that will be used. Also the commissioners said they wanted to look at the proposal which would require four additional full time firefighters.
The commissioners said they started working on the agreement after the city of Helen indicated that they would be interested in such agreement.
