(Cleveland)- The Georgia Department of Natural Resources conducted a controlled burn Wednesday in the area of Ash Mountain near Asbestos Road and Hwy 75 Alternate.White County Public Safety spokesman Bryce Barrett said during the day and afterward, they received multiple calls to investigate the burn. He said, if you happen to see smoke or flames, all flames are within a containment area.
Barrett advised that White County Fire and Georgia DNR will continue to monitor the area.
