(Cleveland)- The White County Board of Commissioners approved during their regular meeting Monday a resolution recognizing the 75th Anniversary for Truett McConnell University in Cleveland.
Founded in 1946 as Truett McConnell College over years the institution has positively impacted the community in many ways.
In reading the resolution Commission Chair Travis Turner said, “Truett McConnell University has been a vital part of the White County community for 75 years providing educational experiences, local employment opportunities, economic impact and community access to their beautiful 200-acre campus.”
The resolution designates Friday, July 23rd as Truett McConnell University Day in White County.
Dr. David Drake, Director of Alumni and Church Relations at TMU was presented the resolution during the commission meeting.
