24-year-old Dalton Johnny Nichols
(Cleveland)- A 24-year-old Cleveland man has been charged with Aggravated Assault in connection with the shooting of another man Saturday.
Capt. Clay Hammond, Criminal Investigations Division with the White County Sheriff’s office said Saturday, August 6, the White County Sheriff’s Office received a call to 197 Webb West Road in reference to shots fired.
According to Hammond when Deputies arrived, they located the victim, 33-year-old William Hooper of Cleveland), who said he received some minor injuries from a gunshot while jogging.
Deputies were able to make contact with the alleged shooter, Dalton Nichols of Cleveland and as a result of their investigation, Dalton was charged with Aggravated Assault.
Nichols has been released on a 10,000 bond.
