(Cleveland)- The Cleveland City governing board is back to its normal number with the swearing-in of the city’s new mayor Josh Turner and Ward 2 Councilwoman Rebecca Yardley last night prior to the two’s first official meeting.

White County Probate Judge Garrison  Baker issued the oaths of office and Loyalty Oath to the recently elected officials with several family members of the two on hand.

Turner commented after presiding over his first council meeting,  ” I’m really honored and humbled to serve in this position that the citizens of Cleveland would elect me and place their confidence in me to do that.  I look forward to working with the council and hope they will be receptive to new ideas and we can work together to make Cleveland the best place it can be for future generations.”

Yardley also expressed her pleasure to serve on the council, “ I’m just humbled to be able to serve the citizens in Ward 2.  I look forward to working with this council to make Cleveland even better than it already is. If I can be of service to any of the citizens I hope they will reach out to me, “ commented Yardley.
