Betty Teresa King Browner, age 66 of Baldwin, passed away on Sunday, July 24,
2022.
Born on February 1, 1956, in Toccoa, she was a daughter of the late W. G. King and
Gladys Scott King. Mrs. Browner was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, gardening,
flowers and going to the casino. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church
and was a Golden Sunshine Club Senior Citizen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Brandi Lashun
Browner; grandson, Braylon Browner; and great grandson, Benjamin Browner;
brothers, James, Thomas, Herbert, Johnny, W. C. and Gene King; sister, Lucille
Hamilton.
Survivors include husband, J. L. Browner of Baldwin; sons and daughters-in-laws,
Brian Browner (Lynn) of Cornelia, and Brandon Browner (Rebecca) of
Murfreesboro, Tennessee; grandchildren, Brett, Brison, Brannon, Brisa and Bryona
Browner; great grandchild, Brea Browner; brothers, Matthew King of Toccoa, and
Anthony King of Cornelia; sisters, Martha King of Cornelia, Ella Mae Harris (Ulysses)
of Clarkesville, and Everean King of Cornelia; sisters- in-law, Christine Cole of Mt.
Airy, Shirley King of Cornelia, Barbara King of Atlanta, Sandra King of Alto and Tyra
Lone of Seneca, South Carolina; brother-in-law, Tim Lone (San) of Spartanburg,
South Carolina; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, July 29, 2022, at Ebenezer Baptist
Church with Rev. Joe Lee Banks, Jr., Bishop Ernest Burns and Rev. Ann Nicely
officiating. Interment will follow at Level Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Browner will lie in state from 12:30 pm until the service hour on Friday, July
29, 2022, at the church.
