(Cleveland)- White County has a new Election Supervisor. A news release from the county states, on behalf of County Manager – Joey Cason, we are pleased to announce the hiring of Ms. Akyn Bailey as White County’s Election Supervisor. She will begin her employment on Thursday, October 14, 2021.

Ms. Bailey has been employed by the Hall County Elections Office since 2018 and has most recently held the position of Lead Consultant and Technology Manager.

The release said, prior to her employment at Hall County, she worked for Jackson County Elections Office for four years.

Bailey has experience with the technology, equipment, and procedures required for the elections process. During the 2020 elections cycle in Hall County, she successfully oversaw 31 elections precincts, implemented and trained approximately 600 poll workers, and deployed and programmed 700 voting machines.

She is currently in the process of completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science at the University of North Georgia and she is working on a paralegal certification as well.
