Allen Jackson, age 72 of Cleveland, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021.

Mr. Jackson was born April 13, 1948 in Cleveland to the late Joe “Bunk” Jackson and Ella Turner Jackson. Allen was a truck driver for 58 years and owned and operated Jackson Trucking. He was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his family and farming. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Glen Jackson, Richard Jackson, Ray Jackson, and Virginia Anderson.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Verlene Jackson; sons and daughters-in-law, Will and Susie Jackson; Benjamin and Heather Jackson; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Tony Brown; daughter, Sherry Jackson; granddaughter, Ava Jackson, all of Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, JoAnne and Coy Robinson; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Brenda Jackson; mother-in-law, Jimmie McGee; sisters-in-law, Carol Jackson, Laverne Jackson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Doris and Randall Beck; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Abernathy and the Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate.

The family asks that flowers be omitted, and donations be made to the Shoal Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 41 Cleveland, GA 30528.
