Aaron was born February 20, 1983 in Anthony, Kansas. Aaron graduated from Chaparral High School in 2002, where he excelled in cross country and track, demonstrating his determination and passion for sports. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army, embodying his deep commitment to serving his country. Aaron bravely served a tour in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, exemplifying courage and dedication in the face of adversity. His service continued in the Army Reserves, where he rose to the rank of Sergeant. A proud United States Army Veteran, Aaron was an active member of the American Legion Post 54 in Anthony, KS, where he found camaraderie and continued to support fellow veterans. After his military service, Aaron devoted ten years of his life to the United States Postal Service, where he served faithfully and was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers Union.
Survivors include his wife of 7 years, Heather Patterson, of Clarkesville; son, Aadin Patterson, of Anthony, KS; daugher, Lilliahna Patterson, of Anthony, KS; daughter, Emmalyn Patterson, of Clarkesville; parents, Randall and Barbara Patterson, of Anthony, KS; sister and brother-in-law, Jessica and Matthew Jaeger, of Anthony, KS; nephews, Zayden Jaeger, Kiptyn Jaeger, both of Anthony, KS; niece, Blixley Jaeger, of Anthony, KS; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alvin (Pat) and Valeta Patterson and Marion and Marjorie Priebe.
A Visitation to celebrate Aaron’s life will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 29, 2024 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Anthony Nazarene Church.
A Graveside Service with military honors will be held on October 19th. A time will be announced.
