(WALESKA, Ga.) – Alyssa Karnes of Bryan and Eliska Dvorakova of Truett McConnell are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women’s Soccer Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
This is the 10th edition of the awards for the 2022 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Nov. 7.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Alyssa Karnes – Bryan – Junior – Soddy Daisy, Tenn.
- Recorded 19 saves on the week in helping Bryan go 1-1.
- Allowed 3 goals and registered a .864 save percentage.
- Made 10 saves in a 1-0 win over Columbia International.
- This is her first weekly honor of the season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Eliska Dvorakova – Truett McConnell – Junior – Lethorad, Czech Republic
- Recorded 5 goals and 1 assist as Truett McConnell went 2-0 on the week.
- Had 2 game-winning goals.
- Netted a hat trick in a 6-0 win over Brenau.
- Registered 2 goals and 1 assist in a 4-0 win over St. Andrews.
- This is her third weekly honor of the season.
