Sports – White County basketball was in action Friday night with the Warriors taking on the Denmark Danes.
The lady Warriors came out on the floor at high-speed last night scoring eight points to Denmark’s zero within the first 25 seconds of the game. The pressure was kept on the Lady Danes 
throughout the entire first game of Varsity basketball with the Lady Warriors ahead in the third period by 35 points. With a shortened 4th, the Lady Warriors took the win 67 to 44.
The Varsity Boys game was tilted the other way with the 7th ranked Denmark Danes coming out of the gate early and maintaining that lead through the entire game, knocking out the Warriors with a final score of 91 to 43, Denmark.
UGA Basketball returns Saturday with the Bulldog’s taking on Memphis. Pregame show for the Bulldogs starts at 12:35 pm, and the Warriors are back in action going up against North Hall. The pregame show starting at 5:45 pm Saturday with the Varsity Girls tip-off at 6 pm and the boy’s game to follow at 7:30 pm on your home of the Warriors and the Bulldogs, WRWH 93.9fm.
