(Cleveland)- The White County Republican Party held the first open forum Monday, for candidates seeking office in the county this year. Candidates; Carly Adam, Charlie Bryson, and John Solomon are seeking the district two seats on the White County Board of Education: Linda Erbele and Jeannette Gearing are vying for the district four Board of Education seat and Michael Boswell, Ricky Farmer and Lyn Holcomb are candidates for District two County Commission seat.
Each of the candidates was given an opportunity to tell why they are seeking the office and then answer questions submitted by those attending. Early voting for the May 22nd primary begins April 30th at the White County Voter Registrar’s Office on the Helen Highway.
In addition to the county candidates the two candidates for State House District 8, Matt Gurtler the incumbent and Mickey Cummings, of Blairsville were present and addressed the crowd as well.
Dr. Emir Caner, President of Truett McConnel University was the moderator for the evening.
