Drought80814(Sautee)- WRWH  Weather Reporter Bill Kinsland  reports, the latest drought map released Thursday   shows, once again, that White and Lumpkin Counties are well outside the D-Zero area or abnormally dry, area  of dryness that developed middle Georgia several weeks ago have decreased somewhat since last week. 

Bill advised that our area has been out of any level of drought since the 13th of  May this year.  According to Bill,  as of 7 AM Thursday morning, White County has received an average of 35.20 inches of rain since January 1st.  And even though we are out of the abnormally dry area we are still  7.39 inches below normal 42-point 59 inches of rain for the year.
