(CLEVELAND) —The White County Warriors had to fight back all night long Friday to pull out a win against Dawson County 45-42. The Tigers scored first but the Warriors answered back with 24 consecutive points, highlighted by a 19-yard Kaleb Crane touchdown run and a 38-yard touchdown reception from J. Ben Haynes. Brett Bardenwerper booted a 34-yard field goal and Haynes sailed his second touchdown pass of the first quarter and White County was sitting on top 24-7.
Dawson County cut the lead to 24-14 by halftime. The Warriors pushed the back with a 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown from Bailey Anderson to open the third quarter. Crane then scored his third touchdown of the game on a 25 yard run for a 45-34 lead. The Tigers scored again, but the Warriors held on to finish 45-42.
