Warrior Playoff Efforts Frozen With A 54-0 loss In Cartersville

Warrior(Cartersville)-It was a cold and bitter night for the first round of  Class AAAA high school football playoffs  Friday night.  The  White County Warriors  made it to a  third straight playoff appearance – a first for the program –as  the Warriors (6-4) traveled to Cartersville to  take on Region 7-AAAA champ Cartersville.

For the Warriors the result was as bitter as the temperature, as White County  returned home without having any points on the board leaving the Purple Hurricanes racked up a  54-0 win.

White County Coach Bill  Ballard  summed up the season by saying “I’m proud of my guys, and my seniors. They had a good run, with a lot of successful futures ahead and that’s what it is about for White County.”

Our thanks to the Warriors for a great season and thanks to the WRWH Warrior Broadcast Team, Drew Harris, Brent Maddox and Shane Welborn for a great job bringing you the play by play of each game.  In a few short weeks Warrior Basketball will be here and News-Talk 1350 will provide coverage of selected game during the season.
